The Vintage Room in Jumeirah is the only restaurant serving Indian and Italian cuisine. As I entered the restaurant, I was warmly greeted by their staff and seated at the reserved table.
The restaurant has a good ambiance and comfortable dining area for families and friends. If you like to have your dinner privately, you can book a table for that too.You will be surprised by the lovely music played by the pianist- LIVE, yes Live!. Live Music definitely adds to the ambiance of the place.
Drinks: Juice as suggested by the server. It was refreshing and I enjoyed it.
I started off with complimentary “Papad ” i.e “Indian crisp” and Tomato Soup– its fresh and flavored with their signature seasonings. The soup was rich and very delicious.
Patata Al Arrabiata made with Potato cubes, Arrabiata sauce and rosemary leaves- Spicy, fried and full of flavor.
Dahi ke Kabab: Fried hung yogurt kebab with onion and ginger- it looked like a kebab while the filling inside is “dahi” or “yogurt”. It was something different which I haven’t had tried before. If you want to try something new, then try this.
Murg Malai Tikka: everyone loves this dish, and am sure you know how it tastes. The chicken was soft and tender, and all of us loved it.
Lamb Sheekh Kabab: Lamb sheekh kabab was very spicy, yet tasty. The meat was done very well and tasted really good, you could finish all kababs in one go.
Now comes the Main course:
Penne Pasta- We love pasta, don’t we? Pasta was cooked in tomato sauce, it was made to order and tasted perfect. You must have had pasta in red sauce, white sauce, but have you tried pasta in pink sauce?. this one is must try!
Pizza– Vegetarian Pizza with loads of veggies and cheese. It’s a thick crust pizza, which you can easily bite into and savor the fresh veggies on top.
Bhutta Methi Palak: Fenugreek, corn, and spinach stir-fried with garlic and chilies. It’s a green gravy and goes very well with Naans or Paratha. If you are vegetarian, do give this dish a try!
Fish Moilee and Dal Fry– By now, I was quite full and decided to take just a spoonful to taste the dish. Fish Moilee is yellow color curry, with a coconut flavor. Eat this curry with plain or Jeera rice, you will love it.
Last but not the least, comes the dessert which is Kulfi. I love to eat Kulfi and this one was quite delicious and since it’s summer I relished it more. You don’t find Kulfi everywhere, so this one is a must try whenever you are in Vintage Room.
I was invited for bloggers meet at this restaurant. However, my comments and review remain honest and unbiased.
